Programs Offered at SCPSC:

STARSkate - Senior

  • Prerequisites:  At least 2 out of 3 of the following Senior Bronze tests: 
        1. 3 Senior Bronze Dances
        2. Senior Bronze Skills
        3. Senior Bronze Freeskate Elements & Program
                        
  • Continuation of the Skate Canada STARSkate progarm.
  • Skills may include triple jumps.
  • Skaters learn the skills necessary to pass Junior Silver, Senior Silver, Gold and Diamond Tests.
  • Each session typically includes:  A short warm-up, a skater typically has one 15-minute  lesson with their private coach, and a formal dance segment will conclude each session.
  • Skaters have the opportunity to take Skate Canada tests through a nationally standardized testing system offered on specific days throughout the season.
  • Skaters are given the opportunity to participate in competitions.
  • Parents/guardians of Senior program skaters must participate in the SCPSC Volunteer program by completing a minimum of Club designated volunteer units per skater per skating season.
  • Maximum 18 skaters per session.

**Depending on the number of skaters registered annually, SCPSC may decide to have a Sr. B and Sr. A session.  Sr. B qualifies as above.

          Sr. A Prerequisites at least 2 out of 3 of the following:
    1. 4 Junior Silver Dances
    2. Junior Silver Skills
    3. Junior Silver Freeskate Elements & Program
